This morning my group went to Kiwi Can. Our theme was resilience and the topic was perseverance. Perseverance is never giving up and always trying your best even if what ever your doing is your weakness. For example when I was playing cricket I knew I was bad at hitting the ball with the bat but I still tried my best. In Kiwi Can we also talked about what we do when we get frustrated and what we could do to keep ourselves calm.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Ms Kirkpatrick and Mrs Anderson.

Maths Challenge
Today my maths group was lucky enough that Mr Wong had made a Maths Challenge for his class. He had
shared the maths challenge with our teacher Mrs Anderson then Mrs Anderson had told us about this amazing and fun activity. Mr Wong had made this Maths Challenge on a spreadsheet he had used codes to create the Maths Challenge. This Challenge helped me practice my addition. I also got to solve addition
problems by using strategy's.

Sentences Using Colons
After learning about sense verbs my writing group have also learnt about colons and semi colons. We all had been sent a document with sentences that is missing a colon. Each of us did this task individually I added a colon to where it had been missing. Once I had done adding all the missing colons I then illustrated one of the sentences.

Sense Verbs
In my writing group we have all have went on this site which helps to remind us what the five senses are. For this activity we were to fill in the blanks. I picked the best answer I thought was right. Unfortunately I have got two wrong. This means that I need to learn and focus more on the five sense verbs.

Josefa and the Vu
My reading group each picked a book that they would study on. We could also be in partners. Nyjah, Fui and I have been reading Josefa and the Vu. We have picked this book because it is based on pacific cultures which we found interesting. We are now up to chapter four. We have completed the character review and the author review and now up to creating our setting review. This book is mainly about Josefa who goes through a lot of trouble to get his Grandfathers Tabua back from his bully Jacks Bucksworth. I predict that Josefa would get his Tabua back from help from his fellow class mates.
