My reading group has split up into four groups. Our groups are named R E A D. I am in group A in my group are Viva, Joushua W, Tai, Alex and San Kyaw. We all decided on two tasks that we would need help on and added it into the time sheet. Our task was to define these words but we were not that good at defining words so we added into the time sheet. Once Mrs Anderson was finish with her first group it was our turn to have a guided session with Mrs Anderson. We all worked collaboratively to create a interactive presentation so others can learn from this presentation.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Ms Kirkpatrick and Mrs Anderson.

Flight Attendant - Careers
For this task each person in my class choose one career they wanted to become. I have chosen a Flight Attendant. I researched a lot of information about a flight attendant. This has helped me to know what I need to do to become a Flight Attendant.

Careers
Today in LS2 we were focusing on our careers. We all went on a site that asked us questions and at the end of the questions it gave us some results of some careers and jobs that would suit ourselves. Our class was learning about careers so that we could go in the right path to achieve that passion of ours. Click here for the website.

Pro's and Con's - Buying a Lighthouse
Today my group was finding out the pro's and the con's about having a lighthouse. Jericho, Josh, Dallas and I have made this DLO showing that information. Each lighthouse group has also made a DLO. In my group we have found out that we came up with more pro's then con's.

Matariki Celebration
My school has also celebrated together for Matariki. We had a lot of awesome and talented performers. We had the Pacifica, Kapa Haka, Junior Kapa Haka, The Drummers and The Ukulele group. I was really impressed because some of these group only practiced for one day or even today. Everyone was trying their best to make sure they were showing pride for their culture. After we saw these amazing performances our whole school was lucky enough to all get free sausage sizzles. This was all run by Mrs Fire Odie our Te Reo teacher.

Matariki
Today is a really special day because it is Matariki which is Maori New Years. To do this task my class decided to work with LS1. I was working collaboratively with Charlize, Avalon and Hinemoa. We had all contributed to finish off this task. We learnt a lot from watching video's about Matariki and sharing ideas with each other.
