To celebrate Samoan Language Week some of my class and LS1 worked collaboratively to learn all about the Samoan culture. Victoria,Farzana,Nickaela and I created this slideshow to show and tell you how to say the days of the week in Samoan. We also created a Screencastify so it could be easier for you to learn. For this task we all worked collaboratively to get this finished.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Ms Kirkpatrick and Mrs Anderson.

Nice Work
Never use the word PRETTY, our teacher said.
It doesn't mean a thing!
Try…attractive, pleasant, charming,
beautiful, appealing, engaging,
gorgeous, lovable, dazzling,
stunning, irresistible, delightful-
The choice is as long as a string!
But please, never use the word PRETTY,
It just doesn't mean a thing!
(She’s pretty our teacher. )
For writing my group were focusing on reading a poem called Nice Work. After reading the poem we learnt about the phrase (as long as a string). Then we picked a word to create the same but changed poem. We added the synonyms to the word that we have picked. I have done the meaning of (as long as a string) and a example of the phrase as well.

The Unfinished Drink ( Ted d’Auvergne)
My class has been learning about Ted d’Auvergne because he was a young soldier and ANZAC has recently just happened but he has a interesting story behind him. In my group were Sky, Brooklyn and I. We learnt a lot about him and his unfinished drink. We re read this poem so we could know all the information I learnt that this poem was a narrative poem because it made us feel sad emotions as well as happy emotions. All of our information has been recorded on this presentation.
